– New teams & researchers enrolled in the group :

  • Attraction in 2010 of a team of 4 researchers (1 Prof., 2 Associate Prof., 1 CR2) from Lille Mechanics Lab. to join forces at the interface between acoustics, fluidics and microtechnology (joint agreement of the french Ministry of research, CNRS and University of Lille 1).
  • Attraction in 2011 of 1 additional Associate Prof. from an other team of IEMN/EC Lille
  • Spontaneous and yearly candidatures of international and national researchers for CNRS positions within the group (total of 5 candidacy during the last 4 years)
  • CNRS Enrollment as CR1 of 2 foreign senior researchers (1 Italian, 1 Russian) to join the group (2009 & 2010)
  • 10 Invited Professors/Researchers (tot.  > 100 months)
  • 28 PhD Students (10 as Joint International PhDs, 14 still active) & 11 postdocs (tot. = 14 years)

– Creations, coordinations & participations to International Laboratories :

  • 2 Joint International Laboratories created by the group and under its direction: LIA « LEMAC » on Nonlinear Magneto-Acoustics (2005-2012) and LIA « LICS » on Critical and Supercritical Phenomena in Functional Electronics, Acoustics and Fluidics (2012-pres.): They gather IEMN and 5 institutes among the best in Russia and Ukraine in the fields of physics, acoustics, and micro-nano-technologies (40 researchers, 8 joint PhDs, 5 postdocs, 24 months of invited researchers/year)
  • 3 projects granted within other International Labs: UMI LN2  (Sherbrook, Canada), LIA Mateo (Tucson, USA) & LIA 2MCIS (Beijing, China) & joint PhDs

  • 7 projects granted by the french National Research Agency (ANR Blanc / PNANO / TDM). 4 as Principal Investigators (PI) & Coordinators

    • 2 as PI/Coordinators: FP7 Marie-Curie IRSES project PAS (2012-2015), involving 10 prestigious institutes over the world (USA, Canada, Japan, Israel, Russia, France, Turkey), FP6 Interreg IIIa Franco-British project with University of Brighton (2006-2008)

In addition to the fundamental research, the group is highly concerned by R&D, innovation, valorisation, and partnerships with companies :

  • 6 patents / 3 with International Extensions
  • 2 maturation projects : PRES Lille on MELRAM, Région Nord Pas de Calais for micro-hot wire sensors
  • 10 research projects & direct contracts of the group settled/leaded by aeronautic and automobile French & European companies
  • Close link established with the SME Thurmelec where was enrolled one of our former PhDs (1 joint project & M1/M2 joint students for training periods)

The group is also regularly involved in the promotion of science to the general public and among young people.
